| Guy Potvin is an independent financial planner providing planning services to clients of all ages. He enjoys an extensive business career spanning 33 years. Since 1997, Guy has practiced as an independent financial advisor in the Ottawa Orleans area. In addition to assisting his own financial planning clients, Guy manages the Orleans & Gatineau branches of Armstrong & Quaile Associates Inc. Fluently bilingual, Guy is considered an investment planning specialist & technician.
Guy’s academic accomplishments include the internationally recognized Certified Financial Planner designation presented by the Financial Planners Standards Council. The Canadian Securities Institute also awarded him the Canadian Investment Manager designation.
In a related function, Guy facilitates advanced advisor workshops across the country for financial practitioners preparing to write the challenging 6 hour CFP exam. Teaching these preparatory courses to other financial advisors allows Guy to continuously update his planner skills and knowledge, a benefit that he is keen to pass along to his clients.
Guy's combined academic background and professional experience makes him ideally suited to provide his clients with comprehensive, technical and practical financial planning and portfolio management services. He resides in Orleans, is married and has 2 children.
